Veterans’ Charity Receives $9,000+ Donation at AmericanMuscle Car Show

MALVERN, PA (07/20/09)—Mustang owners are a patriotic breed. They drive American-made muscle cars and always hold our flag high. When AmericanMuscle.com announced it was hosting its first car show and charity event on July 19, more than 150 Mustangs and 1,000 fans came out to show their support.

As the official charity of AmericanMuscle.com, Homes for Our Troops has been building, buying and renovating homes for severely disabled veterans since 2004. To date, the non-profit organization has helped American servicemen and women in more than 26 states, with many more homes planned or under construction.

Committing 100 percent of all show profits, AmericanMuscle set a goal of $5,000 to donate to this worthy cause. In a charge led by AmericanMuscle’s three founders, and backed by its 80-plus employees, the company partnered with key Mustang performance brands who donated more than $4,000 in product to be raffled at the show. AmericanMuscle also committed 100 percent of the revenue from food and T-shirt sales, in addition to personal pledges from many AM staffers. Through a concerted effort from everyone at the show, customers, staff and the ownership, AmericanMuscle raised an amazing for $8015 for its favorite charity.

Adding to this number, the members of Garden State Region Mustang Club made an additional donation of $850, and an anonymous AmericanMuscle supplier also wrote a check for $500, bringing the total donation to $9,365—a good day indeed.

Accepting the check on behalf of the charity, active Homes for Our Troops volunteers Frank and Karen KcKee were humbled by the donation and showing of generosity by every party involved.
