US serviceman drops plush Shamu from helicopter to children in Iraq

July 31, 2009

In the spirit of being a part of the online military community, this blog will spread the word about other military family inspired programs and initiatives.

Not so long ago, we shared with you the Here’s to the Heroes Anheuser-Busch theme park offer exclusive for the military and their families. Never did I realize Sea World San Antonio had a military representative, Janet Warner!

Warner shares a touching letter and photo depicting a US serviceman dropping a plush Shamu with other stuffed animals, candy and school supplies from a helicopter to Iraqi children.

Thanks for sharing our story! I am excited for the pilot to get more items from us for the children. We get countless letters from brave men and women serving our Country that have spent some precious “leave time” with us at SeaWorld. We are honored to have them pass through our gates and make those lasting memories with their families.
