In the spirit of being a part of the online military community, this blog will spread the word about other military family inspired programs and initiatives.

The U.S. Army is blogging!

Introducing…Army LIVE, the U.S. Army’s official blog at http://armylive.dodlive.mil. This blog is a place to exchange ideas and information and for you to comment on the news happening with your U.S. Army. Please check out the site and drop the US Army social media team a line in the comments box to let them know what you think. If you love it, hate it, want more of a certain topic and less of another, that’s the kind of feedback they want to hear – you are the experts, after all! Congratulations to my counterpart, Lindy Kyzer, and her team!

Sea World San Antonio is blogging!

Twenty-one years ago SeaWorld San Antonio opened its doors to the public. Today they open a new door, and a new chapter, with Under the Sea blog at http://www.seaworldsanantonioblog.com/. Great to see the Sea World community online. We have a lot of military in the San Antonio area and I know they enjoy the attraction with their families. Thank you for saluting the men and women in uniform with Here’s to the Heroes military discounts. Perhaps in future posts/videos the new blog can highlight the military community!

Troops get sneak peak of new Star Trek flick!

The directors, actors, Paramount Pictures, the local command and AAFES Reel Time Theater made it possible for almost 440 soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines to see the newest Star Trek movie at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, on Saturday (11 April) — about a month before its stateside premiere! Even the actors playing the new recruits in film were on hand for special screening!
