This film is one that will be close to all our hearts.
Nominated for 5 Academy Awards and winner of one Golden Globe for Best Actress, Zero Dark Thirty takes you through the decade-long challenge of finding Osama bin Laden after our nation was tragically shaken by the September 11th attacks. Jessica Chastain is truly inspirational in her role of Maya, the CIA operative who takes a pivotal role in tracking down bin Laden. Although young and relatively inexperienced compared to her veteran counterparts, she realizes a small, yet crucial, mistake made by her team and urges them to shift perspective and change their strategy. Problem is, she has no proof and is a rookie, so most of those on her team toss her theory aside. Maya, however, is the embodiment of personal conviction and perseverance–two traits that help lead her to one of the biggest victories of her career, and a shining moment for our nation’s history.
It’s a film about strength, determination, and mental agility. Perspective is key. Details are crucial. Change–inevitable. It’s not a film for kids, but an excellent one for adults. It’s coming to your Reel Time Theater, and you can check movie listings here.
Especially if you want to see the Navy S.E.A.L.S. at their best.
